Chapter 2

Strange Behavior

Amelia and I sat in my bedroom, completely bored. None of the boys had said anything to us in four days and there was nobody else to hang out with. I ran my fingers through my hair and sighed.

"It's like they dropped off the face of the Earth!" She said, huffing and shoving her face into a pillow.

"I know... I wonder what they're up to." I replied,

The last time we'd seen them they were simply riding their bikes around. It was weird, one of us spoke to at least one of them every day and then they all just went silent. Were they all grounded? What would they have done? I looked out the window at the sunset.

"Maybe we should go check their houses." I said,

Amelia perked up, "Yeah, yeah! Maybe at least one of them can tell us what's up."

I put on my boots and she grabbed her creepers and we headed downstairs; and we grabbed our bikes. Jason only lived about four blocks from me so we'd be there by the time the moon was out. Hopefully he would be home, if not there was Dane's house just a block after that, and if nothing else they would be at Justin's, who was a total of eight blocks away, but it's not like we had anything better to do... after all it was summer and all we wanted to do was chill and enjoy it.
