Chapter 1

What is it you're not telling me, darling?
What’s troubling you?
I'd do anything to make it better.
You know that, don’t you?

What happened to you, darling?
Your friends don't come round anymore
What’s with all the strange behavior,
Like locks on every door?

You do trust me, don't you, darling?
I'd trust you with my life.
When I said my vows I meant every word
I’m nothing less than your loyal wife.

D’you mind if I tell you my secrets, darling?
I've been feeling so lonely lately
It’s like I've lost myself as well as everyone else
Please darling, stick with me?

Can you make me feel loved, darling?
You were always good at that
I forget the world is cold and dark
When you look at me like that.

Why don't you notice me, darling?
It’s like I can’t be seen
Heck, it’s like I'm not even there anymore
Won't you just look at me?

Please tell me what I've done wrong, darling.
All you do is stare
I don't even know what you're looking at
Just into the empty air.

Take the locks off the doors, darling-
They came after me, not you
They don't know who you are or where you live
Please, darling, think this through.

Your sadness is killing me, darling.
I want to scream and shout
To remind you not to spend your life mourning
What took 5 seconds to carry out.

It wasn't even that painful, darling
The blade went in then out
It burned for a few moments, yes
But I didn't even feel myself hit the ground.

I was never one for mourning, darling
And now's too late to start
Even though I'm no longer in your life
Just know you're always in my heart.
