Not Just Another Day

Just a story I thought up. I'll probably have a new chapter up at least once every couple days.

Chapter 3

If Wishes Were Fishes

Last night I dreamed of.... yeah, you guessed it. Lesli. I can't seem to get her out of my mind, dammit!
I also dreamed that I wasn't some retarded, geeky nobody who can't even talk to a pretty girl without stuttering and sounding like a frucking idiot.
Oh well... if wishes were fishes, right?
I don't want to get out of bed. At all. Thankfully, it's the weekend, so I don't have to, at least for a while.
I pick up my phone and send a text to Cooper. He's always been more of an early riser than me.
'hey' is all I can think of to say. No much, but it'll suffice.
I pick up my xbox controller and turn on the TV, starting up Minecraft again. I started building a castle yesterday and I really wanna keep working on it.
My phone buzzes, so I pause the game and read the message.
'nm, just playin minecraft. You?'
I return to the game, finishing the wall I'm building before I get bored, save and quit and turn both systems off.
I slip on my ragged shoes and head out the door, grabbing a couple of granola bars from the kitchen and eating them on my way to Cooper's house.
When I near his driveway and can see past the thick layer of trees that mostly surround his house, I see that his car is gone. Figures. I wish he wouldn't just go like that without saying anything. No, "hey I'll be back in a couple hours" or anything. He's my only friend and he knows it. He's the only person I really talk to, besides my mom, who I barely ever see and my dad, which doesn't really even count.
I don't mean to imply that I should have to know where he is all the time or anything. It's just that it'd be nice if he'd let me now so that I don't get my hopes up like this all the time.
This weekend isn't gonna be as much fun as I thought I think to myself as I walk back to my house, into my room and fall asleep on my bed
