Kelia Druella Malfoy...Snape!

Kelia Druella Malfoy...Snape!

okay, so this was originally in quiz form, but I'm remodeling it and updating/editing it a bit. :)

Chapter 14

Thinking.

I stood up, placing my bag on the desk in front of me. I was about to step out from my chair and push it back under the desk, but then I was shoved roughly from the side and I fell over my chair and onto the floor, feeling the seat of the chair dig into my ribs.

I rolled over onto my back to see Draco standing there with a satisfied smirk on his face.

"Oh sorry about that, cousin." He sneered, Crabbe and Goyle chuckling behind him.

Bastard.

I whipped my wand out of my robes, but Draco already had his pointed at my face. "I wouldn't do that, cousin. Just dust yourself off and run off to your next class like a good little future Death Eater."

God, why does everyone have to say that? I can't choose my parents!

"Oh, like you're not?" I spat darkly, glaring at him, refusing to look at his wand aimed directly between my eyes.

Something flickered in Draco's eyes, for a second it looked like it was fear, but then it was gone just as quickly. "Sure, Kelia. You and your mum will have it covered, I'm sure." Smirking, he and his friends stepped over me, purposely stepping on my robes and once on my fingers.

GoyIe got a kick in the legs for that one.

As soon as they were out of the classroom, I stood up hastily, brushing the dust off of my robes.

I looked up then and saw Snape watching me with a pained look in his eyes.

"So you don't care if people walk all over your own daughter, huh?" I smirked when he looked uncomfortable.

"Kelia,I know what you're going through and-"

Blimey, that's the best thing I've heard in a while! I burst out laughing, my head falling back as my laughter echoed off of the walls of the small classroom. "You don't know what I'm going through! You're not the one being bullied, teased, avoided, and laughed at and-"

"Kelia, listen to me right now." Snape instructed sternly, standing and trying to come closer to me.

Aw, look at him trying to be the dad of the year.

I slung my bag over my shoulder and shook my head at him. "Don't come near me. And I'm not listening to anything you have to say. You know why? Because you're not the one having to wonder if you're even good at all! So just stop trying!"

I turned and left the classroom at a quick pace before my dad could finish saying, "Kelia, wait, please!"

Not feeling in the mood for dinner at all, I ran through the hallways, sometimes shoving people out of my way and apologizing until I got outside and ran all the way down to Hagrid's hut, which was still empty with darkened windows.

Hagrid had never showed up at the beginning of this year, and all that Dumbledore and Grubbly-Plank would say is that Hagrid was on "extended leave".

But everyone in school was saying that they hoped he would never come back because Professor Grubbly-Plank was "such a great teacher".

Okay, yes, some of Hagrid's teaching lessons may have been dangerous and outrageous and bloody insane, but I like that about them. Care of Magical Creatures was my favorite class, and I love working with the more dangerous animals, if that makes any sense.

Now I sat down on the front porch of Hagrid's hut, dropping my bag beside me and letting my head drop into my hands. "I wish you were here, Hagrid. I could always tell you about anything and you would listen, you would understand. And right now you're not here. But I wish you were. I miss you."

I put my arms on my knees and laid my head on my arms, feeling way too tired and confused and mad to do anything at all.

And I sat there, alone with my thoughts and the occasional bird that passed by, until the last possible second I was allowed out on account of curfew, and only then because I knew Umbridge waited at the door for any late stragglers.

I hadn't figured out what I was going to do about anything, whether it had to do with Snape or Fred or Draco, but I did know that I wasn't going to let them get to me anymore.
