Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall

I'm not a very good poem writer, as you can see below. xD

Chapter 1

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall.

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall,
It doesn't matter;
I love them all.

With blowing snowflakes,
And empty trees
Winter comes with frozen lakes.

Cold weather
Icy nights
Winter brings snowflakes together.

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall,
It doesn't matter;
I love them all.

With blooming flowers,
And growing leaves,
Spring comes with many showers.

Spring cleaning
Rainy days
Spring means the earth is gleaming

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall,
It doesn't matter;
I love them all.

With sun shining
And beach visits
Summer comes with intertwining

Lazing away
Sunny days
Summer has no sky of gray

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
It doesn't matter;
I love them all

With blowing leaves,
And colorful trees,
After Fall comes winter freeze

Leaf piles
Falling free
Fall spreads out for miles.

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
All new seasons to come

New temperatures
New memories

New kinds of trees
And new adventures await

Each season anew,
Each season all different

Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
It doesn't matter;
I love them all

Poetry has never been something I'm good at. I always struggled making poems. But, today, I actually found something I loved. It was much easier to write about something I loved.

The seasons have always fascinated me. They all are different, like new worlds waiting to jump out at you. Just looking outside at the melting snow made me think of an idea. That is why my poem is about the seasons.

Poetry is something people often disregard, because they think it may seem boring. But poetry can show people a beautiful meaning that is not often distributed through other means of writing. Feelings are often expressed greatly in poetry. You can often tell a whole lot about somebody when you read their pieces of poetry. This makes me appreciate the art of poetry more than I ever did before.

After thinking long about poems, I've realized they can be sad, happy, exciting, adventurous, and many more. They can help people understand many things. They've even made some cry. Tear jerking or smile bringing, either way, poems are a beautiful thing.

I really enjoy a poem called, 'A Bird Came Down the Walk'. It's by Emily Dickinson. It is really quite fascinating. It is a beautiful piece of work: http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/20949

I enjoy this poem as well. I first saw it in a book called 'A Pizza the Size of the Sun'. It is by Jack Prelutzky, and the poem is called 'I Was Walking in a Circle'. It is really quite amusing, and I love the fact that it never ends. This is the best link I could find of it: http://prezi.com/6pe-y_sdczoq/i-was-walking-in-a-circle/
