The Fifth Marauder
Okay, so this was originally for a competition, but now I'm just continuing it as a story. :D
Lily Collins grew up in a not-so-normal household by both Muggle and Wizarding standards. Her mom was a Half-blood witch, her father was a Muggle. He left Lily, her mother, and her twin brothers when she was six and only comes back to visit her when it suits him. Derek and Tom help Lily in any way they can, but Lily's real friends are the Marauders, and they'll have fun at Hogwarts, causing mischief.
I got the letter!
I covered my mouth with my hand, trying to stifle my giggle.
"Ah-ha! Unless my ears deceived me-" Tom started.
"-which they never do-" Derek's voice was getting closer.
"-then we've found ourselves a litlle SISTER!"
I was grabbed around the middle, lifted out of my hiding place in the midst of a patch of bushes.
I cried out in surprise, laughter bubbling up, escaping from my lips as Tom twirled me aroud, tickling me in the sides.
"You've got to keep the giggling to a minimum, love!" Derek grinned as Tom continued to tickle me.
I wriggled in Tom's arms, still giggling and laughing as I tried to get away. "Tommy, stop! St-stop!" I erupted into giggles again.
"Tom! Derek! Lily! Breakfast!" I could hear Mum's voice calling from the house.
Tom finally put me down, and I elbowed him in the side, laughed and ran towards the house.
"Oi! I'm gonna get you, Lily!" I heard Tom calling after me.
I laughed, sprinting to the house as I heard my fifteen-year-old brothers crashing through the woods behind me.
I reached our backyard then, seeing a man with shaggy black hair and a tanned face standing in the doorway of our small two-bedroom home, smiling at me.
"Daddy, you're home!" I cried out as I reached him, throwing my arms around his waist.
I hadn't seen him since my ninth birthday, two years ago.
Daddy lifted me up in his strong arms, hugging me also. "Yes, Lily. I'm home. For now."
What's that supposed to mean?
I smiled uncertainly, resting my head on his shoulder.
Daddy's come home. Everything will be okay now.
Two sets of feet running let me know that the twins had finally caught up. "Hey, Dad," they chimed, stopping as soon as they saw him.
"How long are you home for this time?" Derek asked, crossing his arms over his chest and narrowing his eyes at Daddy.
Before Dad could answer, Mum came back outside, not even bothering to look at Daddy. "Didn't I tell you three that it was time for breakfast?"
Derek hurried inside after Mum, casting one more distrusting look back at Daddy.
"Come on, Lil." Tom took me from Daddy's arms and led me inside to the kitchen.
"Wait, what about Daddy?" I asked, craning my neck to look back at him. He was still outside, pulling a cigarette pack and lighter out of his pocket.
"Don't worry about him, Lily." Mum said bitterly, sitting me down in front of an enormous plate of pancakes, eggs, and bacon. "He's only here because he wanted to wish you a happy eleventh birthda-"
Just then, three speckled barn owls flew into the kitchen through the still-open back door, dropping letters on my plate, Tom's plate, and on Derek's head.
I gasped and leaped out of my seat, grinning and dancing around Mum as she laughed.
My Hogwarts letter got here! Finally!
"Are you even going to open it, Lil?" Derek asked, rolling his eyes at the owls as they flew back out the door, rubbing the top of his head sourly.
I snatched the letter off of my eggs, my eyes reading the front greedily.

I let out a whoop and danced around Mum and Tom and Derek, who were laughing as they watched me celebrate.
"Mum, can I get an owl? Please, please, please?" I begged, pulling on her hand. "And are we going go Diagon Alley today? Can we? Can we go-"
"We aren't going anywhere until you eat your breakfast, young lady." Mum said sternly, raising an eyebrow at me.
I plopped back down in my seat with a sigh, nibbling on a piece of bacon.
Derek and Tom exchanged amused glances as Mum waved her wand a the dishes in the sink, making them begin to clean themselves. "Yes, we'll go to Diagon Alley today-"
"YES!!" I shouted before clamping my mouth shut at the look Mum gave me.
Tom and Derek burst out laughing and Mum just shook her head, giving me a kiss on the cheek as I picked my fork back up. "Happy birthday, sweetie."
I got my letter! Wait until I tell James and Sirius!
