Things I don't like about Quibblo (and its users)-Rant
~I have never made a rant before but I really feel like saying certain things about Quibblo and mostly its users that I don't (really) like. Quibblo is an awesome site and has a lot of great things but I want to outline the bad ones, according to my opinion~ ♥
Chapter 1
A lot of invites
Quantity
The first thing I would like to say is that some people send their invitations more than once at the same time. This is very very annoying when having to clear our inboxes and there are people who have lots of friends and get A LOT of invites.
You don't realise that when you send an invitation, not all your friends are logged in? I mean, we can't see your invitations that moment but we will see them the next time we log in! Can't you be a little more patient?
Why having to clear the same thing from our inbox several times when you haven't even updated it?
Remember that sometimes when you send too many invites, people who receive them get angry and don't take your quiz at all! Isn't that a disadvantage for YOU?♥
You know the trouble of clearing all those invites so don't make it worse please!
Quality
Most of the invites these days are spam. Say you have 100 invites in your inbox and about 85 of them are spam. This is a site for quizzes and stories, so the majority (or even all) invites should be quizzes or stories or at least rants (like this one). And what annoys me the most is that sometimes spamming gets more attention from users than actual quality stuff! I have seen spamming creations getting over 50 responses, while quality ones get only 30! That's unacceptable. Just not what this site is made for.
Who actually cares about stuff like "I just died my hair purple!" or "Ugh, the visit to my grandma was awful" or even "HEY CHECK OUT MY NEW ROOM! (First comment)"? Well, it's fine if you do this once, when you really want to share something, but don't overdo it! If I get spam creations from the same users over and over again, I form a not-so-good picture of them in my mind, so when they do make a real quiz, I don't take it.
If you want to post such stuff, there are sites specialized for this. Twitter is the most popular one, so lots of people may read what you want to share. Tumblr is also a good blog site. Facebook can be used for that purpose too. But not Quibblo. If you make a Quibblo account, you are supposed to make quizzes and write stories. Even if their quality is not very good, there is no problem! If you give your best, something comes out from it and I appreciate it.
There is also another solution if you want to share stuff about yourself. Post a story about it. But no, not a story of three lines which says "JUST BOUGHT NEW TRAINERS, LOL, THERE AWESOME!". Make a story where someone buys some new trainers and make it detailed and interesting. At the end of your story, you could say "Well, that's happened to me today.". Why don't you try it?
♥ (Sorry if I was rude but it is a rant book, so I am just telling the truth!) ♥

Not in 2019...
Great rant book, I don't think I read the latter chapters until now. Check mine out? I recently updated it. It's...longer than usual, but hear me out. Cx
Exactly! I sometimes get FRs from users who have hundreds of friends, and I check out their "Creations" and they're things that aren't meant for this kind of site. Some people don't seem to get that this is a quiz site. They're better off using Tumblr or Twitter. And those who say "Check out my photos!" should go to FB or Instagram instead.
Yeah, even the lightest or least offensive "negative" comment can be taken very personally, depending on the person. But I really don't get this "me, me, me" thing and drawing attention to themselves. This isn't the place to share about a new gadget they got as a gift, what their pet is doing, etc. There's FB, Twitter or Instagram for that. If they really want attention, they should create a really successful quiz/story, and that's when they'll get it. Others even demand their friends to...
..message them or comment on their profiles because, quote, "no one's been messaging/posting on my profile recently!" and by that they mean for the past few hours. It's not even a big deal for me whether I get messages or profile comments. If I do, that's because another user wanted to do it, and I'll just reply. I don't have to force them to message me or anything. I personally think it's kinda rude in a way, forcing others to do something for them. If they're close maybe it's okay.
I absolutely agree with everything you say. I have even seen users without a SINGLE quiz of quality! Don't they know how to sign up for Twitter?
And those people who want attention, just chose the wrong site.
Woo, yes, it's so annoying when some users forces others to message him or do whatever he likes. It's quite egoistic and rude, as you very well said.
Definitely agree with you on quality! I ignore about 90% of the quiz invites I get cause they're like Twitter posts or Facebook statuses! Sometimes I want to comment, "Who cares?" This is a quiz and story website, not a "hey check out my cool life" / attention whore site. (Sorry for the foul language, in case anyone is offended)
I'm glad we agree! That's absolutely true. I would like to say 'I don't care' too, but some users here are sooo over-sensitive... XD
i agree you won't believe but when i opened it today there was 160 invitations
I agree with the chapter about comments. Although, I tend to structure my comments kind of like the didn't-actually-read-the-story comments (specifically, like the short ones, not the emoticons. I don't do those.), and it's not that I didn't read the story, it's just that I never know how to express my feelings on the chapter/story, but I still want to show the writer that I liked it. Also, I tend to post my comments very soon after the story is posted, but I'm just a very fast reader.
I'm glad you agree.
Oh, you have a point here! I completely understand, because I, too, find it difficult sometimes to express my feelings. I see :)
OMYGOD! YOUR A GENIOUS! I tried to explain the chapter one part one to someone. And it did not work out. They didn't understand how annoying it wad to receive 5 of those messages each day. Blah. Thank youz!
CHAPTER 8! Let me explain por favor. I never really thought about the decline button or whatever its called. I'm a little picky about my friends. I have 5 unanswered FR. I know, I'm sorry. But the reason o don't except is based on there profile, if they seem mean or jockey in any way, I tend to back off. Or if they just seem to, what's the word, too girly? Nah, just like a gossip girl b****. Then I won't accept the friend request. After that I just leave it. I never thought about the declinelol
I really agree with all the do's and dont's of story reviews. If the person is offering to write a review, I believe they should put effort into it. Especially because the person that wants the review truly wants to see what people think of the story. Great rant book!
I'm glad you agree! Thank you :)
I've never seen any of my Quibblo friends copy others, so I'm glad I have good friends. I am really surprised that people would do copy other stories/quizzes or even copy personalities!
