I don't know what's funnier. These puns. Or the fact that they were sent to me by my elderly Grandmother.

Chapter 5

English Toffee....... again..thank you Grandma. Who here thinks I should just rename the hole thing it's self..awesome things my Grandma Webmailed me?



ENGLISH TOFFEE



From Mieke Burdick’s Mom, Hueneme High School) She's a friend of my mom's and gave my Grandma the recipe



1 ½ sticks butter

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cold water

1 tsp vanilla

pinch of salt

6 oz chocolate chips



Generously butter a cookie sheet



Mix Butter sugar and water in a heavy pan over med high heat.

Bring to bubbling boil stirring constantly with a wood spoon for about 10 minutes.

Cook to HARD CRACK.

Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt.



Pour onto prepared coopie sheet, spread to ¼ inch thickness.

Cool slightly and top with the chocolate chips, spread as it melts.

Cool completely and break into pieces.
