I Miss You

First of all I want to say I didn't write this, Im not sure exactly who it was but if by some weird chance the person who did write it sees this I want to let you know that I love this poem and it is really beautiful.

Chapter 1

I Miss You

I miss you like the leaves miss water in the hot summer sun;
An endless thirst for more an more

I miss you like the sky misses the stars in the day and the sun at night;
A desperate remembrance of something always stuck in the past and future

I miss you like a man drowning misses air;
A hopeless grasping for the thing that pumps though my veins and keeps me moving, living, smiling, breathing.

I miss you like the hand once held missed the warm embrace;
A ghostly presence that seems almost real and yet, at the same time, entirely imagined

But most of all I miss you like an idea misses being brought to completion;
Aburdly, eternally and with all hopes set on existence.

I miss you.

I guess I love this so much because it was exactly how I felt when one of the closest people to me moved away. And to be put in these perfect words was just amazing.
