Once A Witch, Always Betrayed
This is a group story with myself (summer_riot) and Sleepingforevermore.
We will try to be as quick as possible with the chapters (:
Also, the Latin in this is translated on Google, so it may not be 100% accurate, so I apologise. A translation will also be included at the end of any chapter that needs it (:
With forced effort, I managed to sit up and attempted to rub the bleariness out of my vision. Just then Mary-Lou strode in bearing the most pleasant of offerings; pancakes drowned in maple syrup and a steaming cup of coffee.
"Have I ever told you I love you, Lobster?" I questioned her, taking a large gulp of the coffee.
"Once or twice," she replied, smiling and sitting on the bed.
I wolfed down my pancakes and jumped out of bed, keen to get to go on this school excursion. I rushed into the bathroom and proceeded to go through the hour long process which was getting ready. When I was done I walked back to Mary-Lou's room and we both got dressed.
Mary-Lou pulled on a dark blue pair of skinny jeans and maroon coloured, cute sweater. She had allowed her black hair to fall in delicate waves around her pretty pale face. I smiled at her and appraised myself in the mirror. Where Mary-Lou had dressed rather appropriately for our field trip, I, on the other hand, had not. My legs we cased in pale blue jeans that would most likely get stained at the national park we were visting. I wore a white, long sleeved t-shirt that was low cut and probably not the best attire for a trek through the woods. I shrugged and fiddled with my hair which was done in long plaits on either side.
"You sure you want to wear that, Claire?" asked Mary-Lou, her mouth a little worried line.
I pouted at her. "Yes, I am sure, thank you very much."
"I think someone is quite conscience that she'll be seeing Jonathon today," she teased, sticking her tongue out at me.
"Shut up, Lobster!" I huffed at her, lightly punching her in the arm. "Now c'mon, the bus will be here soon!"
With that, we grabbed our bags for camp and headed out the door. We stood on the curb, Mary-Lou with her hand in her pockets, me with my arms folded and hip cocked, tapping my foot impatiently.
The sky was a clear blue, and the sun was warming our faces, a pleasant change from last night. But in the distance I could see rolling black clouds, receded only for now. I sighed, I really didn't want to be soaked out in the middle of the woods.
Just then we heard our bus come trundling up the road, the sound of it's grinding engine telling us of it's arrival before we actually saw it. It came to a stop in front of us and the door swung open, allowing us access to the tin can of students. Mary-Lou and I greeted our gruff, yet kind bus driver Freddie and proceeded to take our custom seats near the back.
As we walked up the isle, I spotted Jonathon. He waved to me and I smiled back at him, ruffling his hair as I walked past. He turned around as we sat and gave me a phony death stare. I poked my tongue out him and he turned around, grinning.
"Flirt," laughed Mary-Lou.
I just laughed too and looked out the window, wondering what this trip had in store for us.
