Glimmer's Death (Through her eyes)
Hi guy's! I've always wanted to do a quiz like this...Enjoy
I was tired. The day had exhausted me. Cato insisted that we push on...that we track and kill other tributes. He told me we had to do this to increase our chances of winning, but I really think he just enjoys killing. Finally, we were going back to the lake. But then that Fire Girl...Katniss, or at least that's what that Peeta boy had called her. Enraged, I shot one of my arrows at her. I had to admit that I didn't have much aim or previous skill with the bow and arrow. As if to prove this, the arrow lodged itself in a tree three trees down from the one Katniss was in. She grinned and waved it at me jokingly. I felt my fingers press hot white against the bow. I watched as Cato attempted to climb the tree and he fell pathetically. So we waited. The Careers built camp beneath the tree and we waited for Katniss to make a move. And she did. I listened thoughtlessly as Marvel told me some lame story about a chipmunk throwing acorns at him and nodded, his flirting proving itself to be pointless on me. The boy from District 3 was twitching nervously, not wanting to fall asleep with his untrustworthy allies. He's smart for that. Cato would slit his throat as soon as those brown eyes closed. Peeta and Clove were asleep. I found myself drifting off and I did. When I awoke, I heard distant screams. They were Cato and Clove's. I opened my eyes to see a large nest of tracker jackers land on me. I screamed as they stung my pretty flesh, rose to flee, but stumbled. I was surprised to see how instantly the venom found its way to my heart. I heard a cannon boom as Clara, the girl from District 4, collapsed. Dead. I felt dizzy and the world around me blurred. I called for Cato, but he was gone. So was Clove. I could barely make out Marvel as he reluctantly turned to follow them. I thought his face looked sad. I forced myself to move on, sluggishly moving towards the lake.I saw lights of all colors flashing, confusing my vision and I could have sworn I saw Santa Claus. Golden bubbles bounced in front of me and I kneeled to pick them up. I fell to the ground. The venom constricted my heart, slowing it. I breathed out, frantically, hating that this was how I was going to die. A Career dying from bees. Lovely. I felt the lumps form across my arms and chest and could only groan at how ugly I must look. I felt my heart hammer in my ears and my blood felt hot against my veins, rushing, splurging, threatening to combust along with the rest of my oversized form. I watched hazily as Katniss cut my finger, retrieving my weapons. I tried to curse at her but it came out a slur of uncomprehendable words. Numbness took over my body and the wave of darkness overcame the arena.
