Sing

This is an original story, and by that I mean it's not a fanfic and the plot is my own idea.
Except the first chapter. This one's based off of an amazing story I read a while ago. Loosely, though.

Chapter 4

....

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?"
"It beeped."
"IT... WHAT ?"
"It beeped. I hate things that beep."
"YOU ARE IN HUGE TROUBLE, MISSY!"
"I really don't care."
"WAIT TILL I CALL YOUR DAD!"
"Okay. I'm going to go on a run."
"Don't kill anything."
"You kill one potted plant and you're marked for life."
"Abd the microwave."
"We could spend days listing everything I've destroyed. I'm leaving."
"Bye."
"Bye."
...
I grab my coat, and run out the door. I start east on 7th, heading toward the school. After about three blocks, I turn south. Harvey St. never gets busy, and I pass no one until I cross Highway 20. I didn't look before I crossed, and a blue car has to swerve to avoid me.
...
It's raining so hard I can barely see. The sidewalks are covered in puddles. I'm running past a pine tree, my long wet hair flying out behind me.
"El! Bet you can't catch me!"
"Bet I can!"
I run harder. I don't want to loose. Not today. I come to a corner, skidding to a stop. I check for cars without really looking, and sprint into the street.
"SHAY! Stop!"
I keep running, but trip halfway across.
"No! Stop!"
I turn to see what's happening. A white car is skidding out of control. I can barely see. I'm dizzy, and there seems to be three of everything. My head's bleeding where I hit it on a rock. There's blood everywhere. The last thing I see before I black out is El jumping in front of me.

A/N: It's short, but I think that's a good place to end this chapter.
