Seek out the huntress (A Percy Jackson fanfic)
This is a story about Skylar Lunasa or Sky for short.
She is a huntress but she's only a teenager- she obviously falls for a boy and shows she is not as loyal to Artemis as she thought she was.
Warning: This story is not going by the books exactly, so please don't lose patience or correct me. You've been warned before hand. :)
Breakfast is totally fine!:D
Kayla however looked glumly at her food from across the hall. I felt bad at her because she had wanted things to be fine with her parents but now it wouldn't be because I was here. I tried to not let this get to me. Kayla had been encouraging me to date Apollo, I don't see why she should change her mind now.. Plus, it was sort of too late now..
Breakfast seemed totally normal basically.
The hard part was saying goodbye to everybody. I wasn't here long but I felt good about being here.
"Goodbye, Victoria," I said, tears swimming in my eyes. Her eyes were glassy and she hugged me tightly, "I'll try and see you as much as I can." I hoped that this was definitely a promise I could keep to her.
I turned to Kayla now. She still looked as glum as ever, but she forced a smile.
"You okay?" I asked her.
She tugged my sleeve and tilted her head away from the crowd to gesture for us to talk in private.
I walked with her away from the crowd.
"Look, I'm not bummed about you and Apollo- dad- being together. It's just, my mom told me that she's been seeing someone and I'm not sure how to feel about that," she told me. "I love that you're happy and I'm going to miss you."
"Maybe he won't be that bad. At least you have your mom to turn to when things get bad.." I trailed off wanting to change the conversation. "And I will miss you too, Kay!" I pulled her into a hug and let the tears stream down my face. I would make sure that we would be friends until the end... her end. It still hasn't hit me that I will never change, never grow old. I'll be forever young.
Apollo and I left right after I took one last tour around the camp. It's weird. I found a home here when I was scared and lost, and I found someone that I never expected to change my life forever. Literally!
With one last hand squeeze of reassurance we left camp half blood for what was probably one of the last times for me. And I can tell you that it was worth it in the end.
I'm totally stumped. I think that this is the last chapter. It's totally lame because I had a really good idea planned out for it. Like, they get married and have a daughter and then the end. But I'm sick of this story, so I say this is the last chapter. Thanks for those who have stuck with this story even though the last time I wrote a chapter was a few months ago!XD Whoops. Anyway, if you've read this- then, g'luck!:)
