Chapter 2

Camera problems

by: 1D4Life
"Camera?"
"Check."
"Shirts?"
"Check."
"Bag of carrots?"
"Bag of carrots?"
"Behind you."
"Got them."
"Check."
"Phone to live tweet?"
"Check."
"I think we got everything." I looked through my bag one more time to make sure everything was there. Our shirts came out amazing and our hair was done perfect just in case.
"You sure that camera is charged?" Emily asked.
"Positive, see?" I showed her the battery life on my camera and she nodded.
"Just checking." Jackie, my friend who's also going with us, came back from the bathroom all dressed up her fan gear as well.
"Girls are you ready?" My mom shouted from the stairs.
"Yeah!" I said as we came down. We walked out to the car and I was so excited I was shaking. The stadium was only about 20 minutes away from my house so we didn’t have to wait very long to get there.
"I hope Louis hip thrusts." I said crossing my fingers.
"What if one of them gets something thrown at them?" Jackie asked.
"It'll probably happen. Harry got hit the most I think." Emily said laughing.
"We're here!" My mom said pulling into the stadiums parking lot. We all started to bounce in our seats and squeal. She dropped us off at the front and the line was huge.
"Be careful. Don’t get into trouble you hear?" My mom warned.
"Bye mom." I said as we walked away. She drove off and we got in line.
"This'll take forever!" I complained. Emily stepped out of the line and looked in front.
"Um, it's hard to say." She said looking at all the other fans waiting. A big black bus drove in front of the crowd and every girl screamed.
"IT'S ONE DIRECTION!" I heard some fans yell. They all stepped out of line and the smart people we are we ran to the front as the other people chased the bus.
"You were saying?" Jackie said to me. I laughed and we waited patiently for the doors to open.
About an hour later, a worker in uniform came up and opened the door letting everyone in.
"We'll buy shirts later." Emily said dragging Jackie away from the tables set up.
"Aw." She complained. We walked through the mobbed stadium and made our way inside. The place was huge but luckily we got floor seats and were pretty close to the front.
"Tickets." An usher said. I showed him my ticket and he took us to where they were.
"Here you go, row 21." He said.
"Thank you." We walked into the row and took our seats. The rest of the crowd was coming in and soon the lights went down. Ear piercing screams and cries made my ears bleed and I covered them quickly with my hands.
"OW!" I said over the noise. Fog drifted across the stage and a video clip played. I took pictures even though they weren’t on yet but still, why not? The clip ended and I saw five shadow figures run onto the stage. I screamed my heart out and Emily tugged on my arm to show me that she was crying all ready.
"You're pathetic!" I shouted at her over the noise. They started to sing and I felt my knees go weak. I started to take pictures like crazy while enjoying the music. My zoom wasn’t getting close enough like I wanted and it was kind of frustrating.
"I'm gonna try to get closer pictures." I said to Jackie.
"Don't get killed." She said smiling. I hit her in the arm and squeezed out of the row. It was incredibly dark in the stadium and I used the lights being used on stage to help guide me closer to it. I stayed close to the rows and walked up slowly trying not to be seen by security. The first ten rows were pretty packed with security guards but I walked up carefully to them anyway. The closer I got the louder the music was and the more crying I heard. I kneeled beside row ten and got out my camera. I started to take pictures and they came out great. I was cheering and having a good time listening to the music. The boys looked so good up on stage dancing and having the time of their lives. I was singing along to one of their songs when somebody tapped my shoulder. I turned around and saw a big guard with big muscles staring down at me. I gulped and took a quick breath before speaking.
"Can I help?" I said politely, smiling to hide my fear.
"I need you to go back to your seat miss." He said.
"This is my seat." I lied. He looked at the row and I scanned it as well.
"Now." He tone was firm and it scared me.
"Can I just take some pictures?" I asked.
"Do you have a pass?"
"Well no but--"
"Then head back to your seat. I don’t want to have to take you back."
"Look, I paid for my ticket and I just want some decent pictures to take home. Is that so hard to understand?"
"I'm going to ask you one more time, please go back to your seat." I hated when people said no to me. I always had to have it my way or the highway. And this obviously wasn’t going to end well.
"I want to take some pictures." The stubborn person I was refused to go back to my seat. Then I did the one thing that I shouldn’t have done, I turned my back to him and continued to watch the show from the 10th row.
"Alright that it's." I heard the guy say. He pulled my up with one arm and started to pull me away. I felt so embarrassed I didn’t know how to react to this. Emily and Jackie were back and had no clue that I was getting hauled away from the performance. I looked up at the stage since he was taking me to the front and out one of the side doors. Louis and Niall walked to the left side of the stage where I was. Louis looked over in my direction and I would've screamed like a little school girl but instead I felt humiliated. He furrowed his eyebrows confused and continued to sing as I was pulled out of the concert.

The big guard led me through a maze of hallways. I played with my camera strap not believing that I was missing the biggest concert of life and all because of this guy. He brought me into the main office and told me to take a seat. I obeyed his command and sat down crossing my legs and rocked back and forth a little. "What did I get myself in to?" I thought, "My mom's going to kill me." Another guy came out and walked over to me. He was average height, maybe 5"5, a little chunky, and had grayish-white hair spiked up.
"Hi." He said with a smile.
"Hi." I said not looking up.
"I'm Gabe Matthews." He held out his hand and I shook it.
"Victoria Ried." I said.
"Do you know why you're here Victoria?" Gabe asked. I shook my head.
"Am I in trouble? Cause all I wanted to do was take really good pictures with my crappy camera so I could remember my time here. Bubba over there though wouldn’t let me." I said making a gesture towards the guard. He grunted and gave me an angry look.
"She was out of her seat and she refused to go back." The guard said.
"So you brought her back here?" Gabe said looking behind him.
"What was I supposed to do?!" The guards' voice raised a little. Gabe just sighed and shook his head low.
"Since you basically ruined my chance of having fun tonight can I have my money back?" I said breaking the short silence. Gabe looked up kind of surprised.
"I'm sorry but we can't do that. It's the rules."
"Thanks." I said sarcastically.
"I'm sorry that you were pulled out, he was not supposed to do that. Since you can't get a refund I think I might be able to make it up to you." I crossed my arms over my chest.
"I'm listening."
