Memories and Happy Endings (A Fred Weasley Love Story...sort of)

I know what you all are thinking..."ANOTHER FANFICTION!?!?! God, this girl is crazy -.-" First off, I'd like to tell you that, while that might be true, this is something almost entirely different than anything that I've ever written, and personally, I prefer it.
Our story begins with a young woman and new mother named Dahlia writing a journal to her new daughter, Amia. What is this journal going to be about? Well, you'll just have to read to find out.

Chapter 1

Introductions

Friday, January 15, 1999:

My baby girl,
Welcome to the world, my little miracle.
Today has been the most painful, long, exhausting, and beautiful experience of my entire life. The name that I, with a bit of help from your Uncle George and Aunt Ginny, have picked for you is Amia Ginevra Weasley. I'm afraid that your middle name is one that you'll have to do proud because your Aunt Ginny is one of the most spectacular people I've ever met, but I'm not too worried about you. You have your father's genes running through you and I can already tell that you'll turn out to be just like he was, which is something very good, trust me.
Now, by this point, if you've even decided to keep reading this far, you'll probably be wondering why on earth I am writing this journal to you. The answer, actually, is still unclear to me. The only thing that I really know is that when you're older and asking me about your father, I want you to know everything there is to know about that wonderful man.
When I met your father, I was incredibly serious, and if I do say so myself, quite the firecracker when it came to my anger. I didn't believe that anything close to what I had with him existed until it happened. Honestly, I didn't even believe that there were such things as happy endings. But then your father came along, and, over time, I became a changed woman.
Your father made me believe that life was worth believing in, that all I needed to be happy was a new perspective and love. He was beyond incredible, and I'm sure that he would have loved to have been there to witness your birth (although, make no doubt, he probably would have fainted like Uncle George nearly did).
If you couldn't tell, I miss him terribly, and I wish that you would have gotten the chance to know him, as well. He was the kind who always wanted people to smile and be happy. He cared more about others than he did himself. And that's what made him so special.
I'm not going to be the one to lie to you, though. Your dad's and my relationship had a lot of bumps in the road. In fact, for a while, I wasn't sure that I even wanted to be with him. After some time, though, things just sort of...fell into place. But I've come to realize that he and I will never be the typical love story.
I've given you quite the introduction to this journal's purpose, if you ask me. But if you're still unclear as to what I'm trying to get at, then let me tell you plainly.
Without further adieu, I introduce to you, my beautiful Amia, the story of how I, your mother, Dahlia Zofia Hart, fell in love with your father, Fredrick Gideon Weasley...

Mkay, so, I know it's short and kinda weird, but here's the deal. Next chapter will be longer and every chapter from here on out will include some sort of flashback. I'd like to dedicate this story to my dear friend Amia, who deserves more than anyone to be in a Fred Weasley love story, even if it's not exactly the love interest :P Please rate, comment, and ask questions if you need to. Thank you so much for reading! I love you all! -Kristynlynn
