What Happens in Vegas.....(Taylor Lautner)
I was bored, and was thinking about my favorite actor! Also I just finished watching the movie What Happens In Vegas.
Alyssa wasn't a big fan of Taylor Lautner. But unfortunately for her, her mother was best friends with Deborah Lautner. And to there luck, they always tried to set up Aly and Taylor. So what happens when they accidently get together?
New Year's Eve.
I had helped Jordan with everything; invitation, center pieces, tables, reservations, souvenirs. Everything.
I sighed. My next wedding (Which won't be anytime soon), is going to be better. Waaay better than the casual one I had at Vegas.
After the ceremony, we were to go to the reception.
"Aly, I don't know how I could every repay you for all of this," Jordan began as tears escaped her eyes. I held back a groan. The last thing I wanted was to have an emotional bride to take care of.
"It's beautiful," She finished.
I carefully wiped at her tears,"Well, let's start by no more tears, okay?"
She smiled, and pulled me into a hug, "This is going to be a night, we'll never forget."
"Yeah," was all I could say.
I really didn't know how to reply to that. I then went back to the table that was by the Bride and Groom's. My mom sat making small talk with Jordan's mom sipping her champagne. I took the seat next to her. On my other side, the chair was vacant.
I read the little souvenir thing. It was a beautiful 'Thank You' for coming note and it had a a crystal heart that had Jay's and Jordan's name engraved in it. It was a shade of a light purple that had a pretty glow to it.
I felt eyes on me, and found that some old lady that was sitting with us looking at me. She gave me a smile, "You're next."
I laughed. She must be joking right? I am not getting married anytime soon! Not after what I went through. Her words reminded me of that picture that says: Old people poke me at weddings and say,"You're next," so I do the same to them at funerals.
I really don't mind when people tell me this stuff, because I know it won't be true,"Sure."
"A woman as pretty as you can get any man at her feet," She chuckled.
I just gave her a smile (and a bit awkward smile), and sipped more of my champagne. Tonight was going to be a loong night!
A few more drinks and before I know it, it's time to dance with the Bride and Groom. I go to Jordan first of course. She smiles at me,"You had a bit of alcohol back there, didn't you?"
"I'm already 21. Just turned 21 about two months ago," I said defending myself a bit.
"Don't get too crazy, you know what happened last time," She warned, but her smile gave it away and told me she was joking.
I laughed, and soon it was my turn to dance with Jay. We used to be best friends. Actually it was Jordan, Jay, and Joey who were best friends first. The three J's I used to call them. Then I met Jordan, and from there I met Jay, and then finally Joey. I wonder how he is, and was he invited?
"Joey's not coming, if that's what you're thinking," Jay told me.
That's one thing I liked about Jay. He could always read you like a book. He was usually quiet though,"Wow, Jay. Am I an open book or something?"
He chuckled, "No, you just don't know how to hide your thoughts and feelings well. Which is weird, because that guy doesn't seem to realize it. You both have that in common."
I was puzzled. What Guy? What the heck was he talking about? And I knew how to hide my feelings...well sometimes, but it still counts!
" That guy?" I slurred a bit. The alcohol was getting to me.
Jay smiled, and twirled me around making me face a certain direction. It took me a minute to realize who he was, "Oh that guy."
He had just got here, because he was standing in the corner looking around. He looked so cute when he looks lost.
"Go!" Jordan hissed pushing me.
I glared back at her, stumbling a bit, to get back on balance and made my way towards him. His eyes were too busy scanning the crowd that he didn't notice me.
Our eyes met each others, and at this moment I could die happy. He pulled me into a hug, and I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer.
"I'm sorry again, for ruining your premiere," I whispered in his ear.
"That was actually one of the best nights of my live," He replied.
I had to laugh at that one,"Suurree."
He then looked down at my outfit, "Remember last time you were in that dress? It was my birthday and we had our first kiss."
"Well maybe this time-"
I cut him off," So, are we friends again?"
Before he could even answer, Jordan's and Jay's voice cut him off, "Ladies and Gentlemen! Please join us in our countdown for New Year's that will start in 60 seconds! Once you see the big 60 on screen feel free to countdown!"
We still had a minute before the countdown. Taylor looked down at me with his chocolate brown eyes, "Is that all you want...us...to be?"
I thought about it hard. And the first word that came in mind, in response, to his question was, no. No, I didn't want us to be just friends. I didn't even get to answer him, because the countdown was beginning.
I bit my lip. How was I going to tell him? Why did I suddenly feel so nervous? I've never felt like this before.
His hand reached for mine, and we intertwined our fingers with each others. We stood side by side looking at the big screen. When the screen would pop up with a big 2013. They would opened champagne bottles wetting everyone, throwing those silly stringz in a can, and handing out 2013 stuff.
I turned to him ready to give him- show him an answer. I turned, so I was facing him and crashed his lips to mine. I missed this feeling. The one I would get when we kissed. That saying is true. You never know what you had, until you lose it.
I felt champagne everywhere spraying the crowd. I pulled away, and he frowned a bit, "Does that answer your question?"
He just smiled, and led me towards the table I was sitting at. My mom came back at the same moment with 2013 glasses on. I playfully rolled my eyes at her.
"Hi, Taylor! Nice to see you here!" She greeted then her eyes spotted the chocolate fountain and she wandered off. She's like a kid sometimes.
The old lady, who told me I was next earlier, was still here. She looked at me once again, and then at Taylor's arms that was drooped around my shoulders, "Told you so."
Taylor looked at me confused, "What is she talking about?"
"It's a bit of an inside joke," I responded.
"So...did you like the flowers I sent you?" He asked a grin forming on his face.
"How couldn't I? But just to make it easier for you, I go for the simple white roses."
"I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time."
"So is it official?!" A voice squealed behind us.
I turned to see Jordan with a huge smile on her face, "Yeah."
"Ahh, aren't I the bestest friend you've ever had?"
I playfully rolled my eyes, "Whatever makes you happy."
"Thanks for inviting me, Jordan, and I wish you the best. Don't screw up!" Taylor joked.
She just laughed and went to go greet her family members.
"See this is how I want my next wedding to be," I told him.
He chuckled, "You must be drunk, aren't you?"
"Why?" I asked raising an eyebrow at him playfully.
"You don't remember? That night we went partying you started talking about your dream wedding, and look what happened to us!"
"Shut up! I did not !" I protested.
Wait...did I? Well, I sure as heck can't remember it. That kinda does explain a few things, though. So I'm guessing it was my idea to get married drunk?
"Let's dance, I don't want to sit here forever," He said as he got up.
"You have to ask me the right way first," I told him as I sat up, and stared at him.
He smiled, "Fine...may I have this dance?"
He then held out his hand, and I dramatically took it. We danced to a few slow songs. The music stopped, and it was time for the bride to throw her bouquet of flowers. Then 'All the Single Ladies' by Beyonce started to play. I playfully rolled my eyes. She would do that. There was a crowd of single woman waiting for the flowers to be thrown at them. They looked like they were ready to pounce at anyone just to have the flowers.
I don't get it. They're just flowers? If you like them, you can go to walmart or some other store and buy them?! I mean I know the tradition behind it, but I always wondered if it was true?
"Aren't you going to go?" Taylor asked.
I smiled up at him, and intertwined our fingers together, "Oh, I'm not single. Besides, I'm happy just the way we are."
"True," He muttered as we both watched patiently at who would catch this bouquet of flowers.
Jordan got ready to throw over her shoulders.
She has a good throw. Let me tell you why, though. It didn't even land in the crowd of single ladies. Nope, instead it landed right in front of me. Everybody turned to us, and the flowers. Out of all these ladies, it had to be me. I wasn't even playing!
Taylor bent down to pick them up, "Oh, look they're white roses."
He then handed them to me, and everyone turned back to what they were doing. I was still in a bit of shock.
Jordan came running up to us, "Oh my gosh! Aly, do you know what this means? You're getting married next!!"
Taylor and I both exchanged glances, "After what we've been through, I don't think we're getting married anytime... soon ."
Taylor gave a slight nod, and leaned to down to kiss my cheek, "We're happy where we are now."
And it was the truth. Sure, I want to get married someday, but for now I'll take things slow this time.
For now, I'm content with where our relationship stands now.
SORRY! It took so long to upload! I really am, and I apologize in advance if this ending kind of sucks. I had a bit of writer's block.
Anyways this IS the Finale, but I was planning on writing a sort of epilouge to this. It all depends on you guys. what will the epilouge be about?
Well, remember, that day when they were going to watch their wedding video but chickened out? Well, now, they are finally going to watch it!
BUT... if you want me to write it, I need a few suggestions as to what crazy things they could be up to during their wedding.
I'd love to thank you guys for all your support, comments, and ratings! I truly appreciate them! Thank you sooo much! I love you guys!!
