You spent the rest of the day with Shaun and you had a really great time. After a great day at the mall you both went to the park. There was a small stream that ran through the entire part and you and Shaun went to the most beautiful bridge in the entire park. "I had so much fun with you today." Shaun said. "I had fun too." Truth was you didn't have THAT much fun,but you didn't want him to worry. "I've just noticed that this was the first time that we spent any genuine time together. No friends or family. Nothing distracting us from each other." He said looking into your eyes. He leaned in and kissed you. You had to admit it was romantic. With you on top of a bridge and the sound of the water rushing by. But the kiss was, empty, hollow. It was good, but it was missing something. It was missing everything. You liked him, but you didn't LOVE him, not the way he loved you. He pulled back from the kiss and looked at you the same way Tyler used to. It hurt you not to be able to return everything Shaun had given you, but you know you couldn't when your heart belonged to someone else. "There's nothing like being with you." He said. "Today made me realize that there isn't anyone else I could picture myself with." "Shaun, do say that." "Why not? It's true." "I'm not...I'm not the girl for you." "What do you mean?" "I...I don't deserve you. I know that I can't give you everything you've given me." "You've already given me everything. You're more than enough. You don't have to do anything." He hugged you tightly. Shaun was the perfect guy, but you knew perfection wasn't what you were looking for. Shaun took you back to your dorm where Jamie was waiting up for you. She could tell you were upset. "I don't know how long I can have you for a roommate if you come home depressed every night." She said joking. But you weren't laughing. "What's wrong this time? Is it you and Shaun?" "No, I'm okay. We're fine." You kinda pushed it to the back of your mind. You pressed through the rest of the week thinking and over thinking everything between you, Shaun, and Tyler. Saturday was here and you were dreading it. It was the night that you all were going out someplace together. Great. You had been out all day trying to clear your mind so when you got back to your dorm you just wanted a nap. Jamie was there trying on a few fancy dresses. "What are you doing?" you asked her. "I'm trying on dresses for the...wait he didn't tell you?" "Who didn't tell me what?" "Shaun, he wants us to dress up nice. He said something about taking us somewhere special tonight?" "Um, well I don't have anything nice to wear." "You could always borrow something from me." You both were about the same size. She gave you a gorgeous emerald green bubble dress that was about knee length. You had to admit it made you look nice, and you felt great in it. You both were picked up by a driver in a Roles-Royce, obviously sent by Shaun. You didn't know why he was going through all this trouble for a dinner just to get to know your friends. You pulled up to some fancy french restaurant who's name you couldn't pronounce. It looked really nice. Shaun and Tyler were waiting for you and Jamie. They were both dressed in tuxes and looked hot. The waiter with a fake sounding french accent showed you to your table. The menu was completely in french so you didn't know what you were reading, or ordering. You just got whatever Shaun had. "Soooo, how long have you and ___
known each other?" Shaun asked Tyler. "Since we could crawl. We used to live next door to each other." "Oh. So were you two...close?" "Very." "How do you mean?" "Well we used to da-" "This place is so nice babe." You said changing the subject. "Thank you, it's usually booked solid, but I pulled a few strings." "How long have you and __
been dating?" Tyler asked Shaun. This wasn't going to be pretty. "Well if the two of you are so close, why didn't you know already?" Shaun snapped back. Tyler gave him a sharp look. The same thing went on all night and everyone could feel the tension. Jamie didn't say a word all night. Yes. Jamie. The girl who NEVER shuts up. Desert came and everyone seemed calmer. Shaun reached over and grabbed you hand and looked into your eyes. "____
, I love you. I love you so much and I never want to let you go. Since I first saw you I knew that you were the one. Every second we spend together feels like the first and I want to spend the rest of mine with you." He got out of his chair and got down on one knee and reached into his jacket pocket. He pulled out a small black box and flipped it open. "__ ___ ____
, will you marry me?" Inside the box was the most beautiful diamond ring you had ever seen anywhere, even better than Jamie's. You looked into Shaun's eyes while he eagerly waited for an answer. You looked over at Tyler who had a blank expression. A flood of emotions rushed over you and a tear ran down your cheek...
