The Story, Characters, ect.
Here's my idea:
A group of young adults, struggling to find safety in the ruins of Minneapolis, MN, are faced with a choice. To leave or become a slave to the villainous gang that threatens the crumbling streets of the once beautiful city. The gang controls the water, the food, the supplies, and ultimately, their lives. Each of these individuals has reasons besides freedom that they are leaving the post apocalyptic city for; each of them are wanted by the Godfather of the Gang for some cruel and unusual reason. The outskirt cities offer temporary havens but as supplies are dwindling in the suburbs, the Northern Lakes seem unbearably tempting...

Nickname (if any):
(Try to make your character unique)
Appearance: She has dark green eyes, olive skin, shoulder length curly medium-dark brown hair that is usually a bit wild, she is about 5ft 8", with an average build and gentle curves, she has a smattering of freckles across her face. She wears a dark grey T-shirt with a pair of black skinny jeans, and a dark green jacket over that and a tattered pair of boots
Personality: Monica is a kind-hearted girl with a motherly attitude. She is protective of what she loves, but also a tad prideful, and she holds deep grudges. She isn't afraid to jump into action, but always carried the past with her. She is religious (Catholic)
Background: Monica was born on a farm outside of Farmington, a suburb of Minneapolis- she was the third oldest of six daughters and one son- their parents and the seventh daughter (who was just a baby at the time) died of influenza, leaving the children to care for themselves. Her brother joined the Gang in Minneapolis to try and get leverage for the family. Their older sister married a gang member, and Monica was betrothed to one, but broke off the engagement because he made unwanted advances on her. In their anger, the elites of the gang threatened her, and she escaped to the outskirts with her life and memories of her siblings. Part of her still loves her ex-fiance, but the grudge in her heart keeps her from going back to the gang
