"Well the basics are easy enough to remember. Just as long as you kill the brain you will be fine," Cole assured once she finished explaining everything.
You look unsure of yourself and Cole pats your shoulder gently. "You'll be fine. We'll make sure of it," she smiles assuringly.
"Lets see what weapon you're comfortable with," Cole suggests leading you to the back of the Bronco where most of the weapons were stashed. "Pick one," she smiles.
What would you rather fight with?
What do you admire about Zane?
You grab the handgun hesitantly looking it over but is surprised when it's snatched out of your hand by Zane. "You want to use this pathetic thing?" He scoffs at you.
"I think it suits me," you reply in a small whisper. He stares at you in a weird way and soon he scowls shoving the gun back into your hands and walks away while Cole giggles.
Cole takes you to an open area with targets set up and runs a few rounds with you before letting you go loose without her help. You miss most of your shots and feel defeated.
"Don't be too hard on yourself. It was only your first time. You'll get it," Cole assures beaming at you. "Why don't we take a break for lunch?"
"O-ok. But don't push yourself," Cole urges before leaving you alone. You reload the gun then continue training.
You practice for hours and before you know it. The sun is about to set and your progress hasn't improved much.
After another pathetic round you shove the new magazine in frustrated. "You're trying too hard." You look back and notice Zane leaning against a tree finishing up an apple.
He tosses the rest of the apple before walking over and suddenly coming up from behind placed his hands around yours.
"You need to relax more," he says and even though it's hard with him so close you manage to. "Aim." You line up your target. "Take a deep breath than exhale and squeeze the trigger."
You look back at him, his face blank. "Look," he says though it sounds like an order as he backs off. You look forward and can't believe your eyes. Dead center, right on the mark. Bullseye.
You're so happy you can't stop laughing or smiling. "Thank you. Thank you so much," you exclaim suddenly hugging him.
You stop suddenly realizing that he was rigid and what you had done then look up at him embarrassed as your face flushed.
His face softens. Eyes locked with yours. Then he leans down towards your face.
