"Nice to meet you, Roxie." Seamus smiled. His eyes were sparkling, and he had a really cool Irish accent.
"Roxie!" Hissed Lavender, sitting in an empty seat next to me. I grinned at her. "Hi Lav. Have you meet Seamus?" I asked. "Nice to meet you." Lavender smiled, shaking his hand, "I'm Lavender Brown."
After the sorting was over, our prefect Percy Weasley gathered us all up and lead us to the common room. It didn't take much for Lavender and I to get separated and lost, though.
"They went this way! I know it!" I said, leading Lavender up the stairs I had seen a boy trip on minutes ago. His name was Norman or something. We saw the kid a few paces ahead. "Come on, Neville!" Called someone up ahead. Neville, not Norman. Okay.
"Where'd they go?" Lavender panicked. "Over here!" Came a familiar voice. I turned and saw a mob of children turning a corner, Seamus standing a few feet away. We ran over quickly. "Don't want to get lost, now!" He said, grabbing my hand and dragging me faster.
We went left and right and back and forth, then stopped when we took another right turn. "We were here two minutes ago! We went in a circle!" Lav squealed. "Over here!" Called Seamus, and we saw the Gryffindors headed up the stairs. "Good thing we did." I laughed, running to Seamus.
We sat on the stairs, staring into nothingness. "This sucks." I said. "Yeah." Lavender sighed. "Why, are you lost?" Asked a ghost as he floated by. "Yeah, we are." I said. "Well I believe I saw Ravenclaw go that way... Then Gryffindor is that way..." He said, pointing. We jumped up. "Thank you, sir!" Lavender said. "Call me Sir Nick!" He said as we ran off.
"How did you get lost already?" Laughed Seamus when we entered the common room. We were looking around, marveling at the warm, living room type place. "We don't know." I said.
"To your dorms, please." Said Prefect Percy sternly as he walked up behind us three. I looked up at him.
"Finnnnneeeee." I said, slumping over and marching upstairs. Lavender laughed, and Seamus smiled, but Percy seemed displeased.
"Oh, okay." I said. All three of us walked up the stairs to the dorms.
"I don't waaannnttt tooooo!" I said. Lavender and Seamus laughed, Percy glaring. "Please, I'm the prefect and I-" I covered my ears and began marching up the stairs. "La la la, I can't hear you!" I said, and Seamus and Lavender followed.
"Whatever." I shrugged. "Sure." Lavender said. "Okay." Seamus said. We all walked up the stairs to the dorms,
"La la la, time for bed, time to go to sleep!" I sang, skipping up to the dorms. "Can't wait for tomorrow!" Lavender sang as she followed. "I'm not singing!" Seamus announced as he followed, making us all laugh.
I began running around the common room, laughing. "But I'm not tired yet!" I yelled. Percy seemed upset. He grabbed me and made me stay still. "Please, listen to me or there will be consequences!" He told me off. He shoved all us giggling children up the stairs. "Good night, Percy!" I said in a high pitched voice as he walked off.
"Good night, Seamus!" Lavender said, going into the girl's dorms area. "Good night." He answered,
"Roxie, we're up here!" Lavender called down from the near-top of the spiral staircase.
Several floors later, I went over to my bed. "That's a workout!" I panted. "Well, we'll always look fit for the boys!" Lavender joked.
"Well, good night." Lavender said. "Good night." I replied.
Soon I nodded off. I couldn't believe I was finally at Hogwarts! The last thought in my mind before I went to sleep was
