I rolled my eyes and turned back to Sarah. "Do you read the Quibbler?" She asked out of the blue.
Sarah seemed like she were about to speak again when Justice nearly shoved me out of my seat. "DANI, LOOK!" She hissed, and I looked at what she was so excited about. It was... A boy? "So?" I asked.
"Potter, Harry!" Called McGonagall, and the boy J was interested in stepped up. "Did she just say
Harry Potter?" Justice said. "Technically, she said Potter, Harry." I said.
"GRYFFINDOR!" Cried the Sorting Hat. Everyone cheered, except for the Slytherins. I could tell they'd be a roudy bunch. I stared at Justice, who was cockily smiling at Potter again.
After sorting was over, we were gathered up and lead to our dorm rooms. On the way, I swore I saw a ghost of a woman. She seemed sad. We were hurried on before I could get a better glimpse.
"Welcome! To enter, we have to answer a riddle." Said the prefect when we came to the common room entrance. "Ohh..." Some kids muttered.
"I have four legs in the morning, two in the evening, and three at dawn. What am I?" Asked a voice. "You, do you know?" Asked the prefect, pointing to me.
"Um, no, sorry." I said. "Very well. How about you?" He asked another kid. "It's a human." The boy answered.
"Very good." Said the voice, and the doors opened.
"Um... A human?" I guessed.
"Crawl in the morning, walk on two feet in the evening, use a cane at dawn. Very good." Said the voice as the doors opened. I could tell not all the kids understood the riddle still.
"I do!" Justice cut me off, "A human! Morning is the beginning when you crawl, evening is the middle when you walk on two feet, and dawn is when you're old and you use a cane!" I nodded. "Yeah, I was going to say that." I agreed.
"Good, good." Said the voice, and the doors unlocked.
Jutice and I went to the first year girls dorms, and found we were in different rooms. "Good night, Justice." I said as she went a flight higher. "‘Night Dani." She said.
"Good night, Danielle." Said Sarah as she walked in, wearing a soft pink, silk night gown. "Good night, Sarah." I replied.
Even though I didn't feel overly tired, I fell asleep soon after my head touched the pillows.
