"So, Cedric, what year are you in?" Amita asked. "I'm in my third year." He smiled.
"Do you like your house?" I asked. He nodded proudly.
Once sorting was over, food appeared on the tables. "Woah." Ami and I said simultaneously.
"What's your family like, Cedric?" Amita asked while we were eating. "Well, my mum's a witch, and my dad's a wizard. I don't have any siblings. What about you?" He asked.
I glanced around while Amita and Cedric talked, trying to find my friend Leah. I spotted her on the other end of the table. I wanted to go over, but I didn't know if I wanted to leave Ami by herself.
After some more thinking I got up and walked down to the end of the table. "Hey Lay!" I said, sitting next to her. "Hey Tay!" She replied, smiling widely.
"How cool is it that we're in the same house?" She asked, excited. "I know! It's great!" I smiled.
"This place is so cool!" She said, eyes glittering. "It is!" I agreed. "Hey, where's Amita?" She asked, looking around. I smiled, trying not to laugh, pointing down to where Amita and Cedric were talking. She was talking to him, blushing and putting a strand of hair behind her ear.

Leah and I grabbed whatever looked appetizing and put it on our plates. "We're going to be so fat after this!" Leah joked. "No doubt." I said, putting a spoonful of pumpkin ice cream in my mouth.
I stared, carefully deciding what to eat. I picked up two treacle tarts and one slice of apple pie, my eyes lighting up when I took a bite. The food at Hogwarts was amazing!
Leah grabbed a ton of food, but I didn't even move to grab anything. I was staring at the Gryffindor table and, without realizing, at a tall redhead boy. I blushed madly when he saw me, and I looked away quickly.
I stared at all the food, but I was too stuffed to eat anymore. Instead I started daydreaming.
New classes, new friends, new adventures... I thought.
"Alright everyone, gather up." Cedric, who was a prefect, said after everyone had shoved the last of what they could down their throats. The dessert vanished like the dinner had, leaving it sparkling.
"I'm gonna go catch Ami. See you around!" I said to Leah and her pal Hannah. I then went up to Amita and Cedric. "Hi!" I said.
As we were walking, I zoned out. The thought going through my mind was
