Constantly hearing "Let's get a guy to help with this". Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm not strong
Bras Periods and all that jazz too
THE FACT THAT THERE ARE NO BREAK UP SONGS WHERE THE GIRL JUST DIDN"T WANT TO BE IN A RELATIONSHIP ANYMORE SUNG BY THE FEMALE!
Seriously- it's all about the guy treating her wrong or "setting yourself free" or him cheating on her. It's never her fault for leaving. Or the fact that it just wasn't working out. It's like the guy has to do something to make her leave, or that she'll always love him till he doesn't love her. Can't things ever just not work out? Is there no song for that?
Being labeled as "that kinda girl" for wearing make-up. I don't wear it because it's a hassle but I have friends who wear it because they like designing it for fun and are labeled as "hiding their true self"
Being labeled as "girly" if you wear a dress or caring about wearing a nice outfit. They say fashion is about developing your 'true self' but what if you want to wear totally different styles every day.
Parental overprotectiveness. I'm not allowed to climb a ladder to help on the outside of our house (which we are redoing) and my Dad is always telling me to get my guy friends over to help- which I don't get. I'm as strong as any boy, and they act like if I had been born a boy they would let me do "riskier" things.
Having people assume i'm a girl because I was born female.
Having people assume I want kids because I'm a "girl" and "girls are supposed to want that".
Being flirted with by cops when they pull me over for no reason.
The double standard of studs and sluts
1. How women are supposed to be fashion obsessed and crave money from guys?
2. How men call us weak when we are the ones pushing out a baby....
3. That we are picked on for wearing too much makeup and picked on for not wearing any?
4. Like Tabby said, if we stand up for ourselves, we are apparently overreacting!
5. That we can't play sports because we are girls and should instead clean the house...
6. Boys expect us to have the perfect figure.
part 2: the fact that women are underestimated in certain job positions annoys me. any woman can be a successful business person, athlete, engineer, or senator.
i apologize if this seemed too long! i just despise of society judging and denigrating our appearances + what we do. yet i know that there are many human beings out there who are kind and accepting! hopefully one day, everybody could be that way. ♡
part 1: i hate the expectations, assumptions, and derogatory insults we have to deal with. people call a girl a slt or a whre based on the way she looks! if a girl wears makeup, she's lying + fake. if a girl doesn't, she's hideous + gross. in various s*xual assault cases, it's the female's fault because she dressed wrongly/asked for it. in addition, some men expect a woman to have the perfect figure, curves, big boobs, and a big "booty". newsflash: we aren't Barbie dolls.
Parents are MUCH more protective. I cant go anywhere without my parents knowing where and who with. And has to be someone they know. not boys at all !! No dating til I'm 16
