I do it like every other fucking word
I don't swear and never have and some people use them too much. why did someone make up swearing anyway???
Swearing at people is obviously wrong because it is intended to hurt people.
Not because the words are cruel, rather it hurts people by making them feel hated and unwanted.
So I guess as long as someone doesn't use it on another, it's alright to swear, in my opinion.
It depends on what level we are talking about. I agree that we need to reframe from using any type of foul language from children of all ages, but if you use words like the f-word then I don't think we should be using it. It may seem funny in movies and videos but words like that hurts people. That's my thought.
I don't. Period. You look bad in front of kids. Disrespectful in front of adults. And it's always censored on tv. So I just think it's pointless as well. :)
People swear too much.
I think that they are just words and words only have the meaning people give them. It relieves stress and helps express how you feel about something whether good or bad. I think you should also have respect though and not use it infront of certain people and at the wrong time and place. As long as the word is not directed at a person I think it's fine.
Swearing is fine when done when out of earshot of authority figures when the situation calls for it, such as during times of extreme emotional distress.
I don't like to put limits as to when someone can do something. But I think a child shouldn't curse until they really know what word they're using. And personally, I only curse if I'm feeling a strong enough emotion. Since I'm a very histrionic person, I tend to be full of emotions a lot. I also think you should try and respect someone who asks you nicely not to curse. That brings up another topic, why are people against cursing? It makes no sense to me at all.
I think cursing should rarely be used as a hurtful term directed towards someone. Films and songs are works of art, so prohibiting cussing is like putting boundaries on art. And that is absurd. Cursing and art are forms of expression, which shouldn't be hidden. I curse a lot in real life, but less so on the internet because it takes much longer to type out. Swear words in general are so weird. Someone decided this word is WRONG and BAD. It makes no sense to me. (Continued...)
