I like Tattoos because they're away to express your and tell your life story on your body. I don't like tattoos because the are forever and your mind changes as you grow older but your tattoos stay the same.
i love tattoos. They give a person such personality. You can read their story on their body. You can learn so much already by observing them. Tattoos are a grreat and meaningful ways to remember, to inspire, to express oneself. The idea of having artwork on your body is phenomenal and you know it's worth more since no one will have another like yours. That is why i hold dear to the tattoo i have. I do not regret getting it because it represents my passion.
I was talking about artists, not pieces when I said there's 5 bad for every 1 good at least.
when it comes to the ink itself, everyone has an opinion.
There are tattoo styles I find beautiful that others find disturbing.
But there are still badly done tattoos, and that's where a person has to be picky about the artists, and think out the piece they want, whether they're a man or a woman.
And just about every tattoo style I see looks good on men and women, in my opinion.
i like tattoos i think there cool
I Love them, i have one. It however depends on the tattoo and how huge it is. I have a flower on my ankle (good choice) A BAD choice would be something like this: A Justin Bieber portrait on your back with a swastika! ; ( just an example )
For me, it all depends on the tattoo. I like that tattoos can be symbolic and meaningful. I like how beautiful they can be, if done right.
However, I don't like the ones that are big and elaborate, nor do I like when people get whole sleeves or get them on their face. I think it distracts too much from their natural beauty. And then, of course, there's the fact that it'll look like crap when you're old and wrinkly and sagging :p
I'm not against tattoos... in moderation. :)
Ah, i totally agree with you.
I have 5 (or 6, since one has lettering under it.)
the newest one I got today.
My first one, which is actually the biggest, all the way down the center of my back, I admit I mostly got just cause I wanted it. There's a little bit of a 'deeper' meaning to it, but I really jsut got it for the art.
two others represent parts of my life, and the other two are part of an overall theme I have in a balance between light and dark.
I'm still going too.
...I only have 3 pieces right now (4 depending on how you look at it) and plan on many more, but I'm taking my time with it. As far as what I dislike about tattoos, I guess like anything else it has become a trend but what can I do about that? and who am I really to judge what other people do with their bodies? Ah well, I got mine and I love them.
I agree about tattoos hurting ;) First and foremost I love the way tattoos look, and I think you'd have to to get a bunch of 'em. I guess I'm what people would call an artist myself (not tattoo artist) and I love the idea of having a piece of artwork on my body. Whether I drew it or another artist created it for me. Each of my tattoos are a part of me in some way other than physically, they all mean something whether or not that meaning is as "deep" or "serious" as others....
@Shred, that's cool, but the original question was for why you like them. (or not)
