Just b yourself
ok dont look at the peoples faces look past them or above them. eg. performing on stage look above the people. you will be fine, I know you will be :)
i dont hav stage fright, but pretend ur n the rm all by ur self practicing...
act like your talking to a friend. and if the teacher choose you to do this, then that means that they see something in you that you might not see so you might do better than you think
Ok. Listen carefully. All you do is act like someone else. Pretend to be someone else. Like, your best friend, or someone u admire. If you do that, just focus on being THEM. I learned that in drama class today :) My teacher said if u shy or nervous thats the best thing to do.
look at the wall above the audience. and blink a lot. idk if it works for everyone though... i tried it, wen i did this play with my class, cuz i have really bad stage fright too.
ther look at something on the wall behind the audience, have flash cards with your speech writen on them to read straight off of, or imagine everone in their underwear(i knoe that this one is crappy)
"I like to imagain that there's a whole bunch of specters who've been in horrible accidents in the audience. And they're missing arms and legs and things, and really needing to be cheeered up." ~Pumpkin the House Ghost
I'm not shur it'll work with a debate or speeh or whatever you're doing, but it's worth a shot, and if it doesn't work this time, maybe another time. Also if you mess up, just look to the future when it's all over and done and no one cares. :)
Good Luck, now
I agree with what everyone said. XDDD good luck!!
this, here's how you might be able to do that. Breath, empty your mind and look only at the words. Don't concentrate hard, actually, don't. At all. look at the words and say them out at loud and let it flow out. Empty, let them swayt hrough your mind as they come out your mouth, let nothing else cross your mind. With that, it will come out smoothly and cleanly and even have alot of emotion in it. It's hard to do and will take practice, so try it for another speach if you want. Tada!
