No never. I would hate seeing my loved ones constantly die.
I would, in hopes that I could someday share the knowledge I'd learned over lifetimes to prevent further loss of life and growing of evil.
But you know, that's kind of what most people who are immortal end up doing.
Yeah, like when I turned say 25, I would want to be immortal.
I could see all that would happen in the future, all the new technology: the 1st warp drive, the 1st colony on the moon, replicators, new high-tech gaming consoles ect, ect...
And I could potentially become like The Doctor, being able to gain knowledge, through the slow passage of time.
Death... Is an option I'd rather avoid.
Just a few of many reasons to be immortal. ;)
Only you can't time travel. At least until they develop that technology, which you would hopefully live to see. Provided nobody tries to stab you in the back or shoot you in the head. :P
As much as I would enjoy the perks of immortality, I would live easy knowing there was a way out of It.
Personally, I would accept immortality only when my body was at its peak. Not too young, not too old. In fact, I actually find this concept refreshing. The things I would do, the sights I'd see, the knowledge I would amass... all of it interests me so. :)
