I'm an outcast, it seems. :D
Well, my eyesight and hearing suck, tasting.. Is for food, and touch is.. Touch. Not saying it isn't important, I know it is, I'm just saying.
Sight. With hearing damage, it's hard for me to hear what people are saying in room with background noise, so I often have to rely on visual cues to guess at what someone said.
Or ignore them. Awk.
I don't really rely on the other main senses as much as sight. It's a visual world.
Sight, although generally it could be taste or sound as well.
I rely on sound the most.
All I really do is listen to music on my headphones...
you guys are saying Smell is unimportant, Well Smell slight, and Sound are the 3 most important Sound you can hear danger, Slight you can see danger, Smell you can Smell danger and a fire in your house
I have to counter this, I'm sorry. Touch is not least important. Imagine living without your ability to feel the world around you--just imagine it for a second. Awful, isn't it?
And you'd still be able to feel pain.
In my opinion, all of the senses are equally important. They balance each other out and help us observe the world around us. Without any of them, we're considered "handicapped" human beings.
I'm sorry, I just had to argue with you. . . .
You probably don't even give a crap about my opinion, but this is the comment box and I just needed to. XD So I'm sorry if I wasted your time. . . .
The least important is touch,
Sound, because I'm almost blind. I can only see from very close, and I was already told glasses wouldn't help by this point.
Plus, I have no sense of smell or taste hahah
You need sight because you wont see anything.. * Yells out * NO OFFENCE BLIND PEOPLE!! -That's not really offending huuh? But no sound will be so quiet but you wouldn't need taste that much eh? Smell doesn't really matter cos if you had no sense of smell you wouldn't smell nappies and touch, you use all the time but I just put in Sight
Smell matters--without the sense of smell, there would be no sense of taste, and then both senses would be cancelled out.
What do you mean "no sound will be so quiet"?
I just picked sight but my real answer is none of the above
If we can not see we do not know where we are going & you can bump into a car if we can not smell you do not know if someone polluted the air (lol) or when a skunk is near by if you can not hear you are not aware of your surroundings if you can not feel u will not know if someone stabbed you with a knife if you can not taste you might not know if ur food is our, poisoned or not, if u have none of these senses just know ur life's at risk
But there are people who can live perfectly well with impairments to sight, vision, and even smell. And there are some poisons that have no taste at all, so the sense of taste wouldn't even help you.
Plus, pain is a sense totally different from touch. If you were without your sense of touch, you would still feel the pain of a knife stabbing you.
*sorry, I didn't mean to say "sight, vision" I mean to say "sight, hearing." XD Fail. I was on a roll until then. . . .
Yes that is true
I rely on sound most, but sight is a very close second.
