I put no, because I believe that a sport requires a set point system/way of winning, yet competitive dance is merely subjective. Still, I have a lot of respect for dancers, my sister is one, I am aware that it is harder than many sports in some ways. In some ways, because while it may require more endurance or strength, I doubt that most adult dancers could take being sacked by Dont'a Hightower. It's a different form of strength, I guess, or something.
I can see where you're coming from :)
I voted for "yes".
Dance IS a sport....Show your classmates THIS as proof.....You sweat, you move, & you can lose weight....How can it not be a sport???
I think so!
Without a doubt!
Well, technically, it's a performing art. But it TOTALLY requires the same amount of dedication, skill, balance, flexibility, and physical exertion as any other sport. So I put YES! XD
High five!!! And there was a study done with make dancers and football players. Make dancers actually had more strength than the football player, the ballet, contemporary, jazz, and Bollywood dancers had the same amount if endurence as the football player. The football player had more speed (expected) but the dancer had more control.
See this is logical! I asked this question because last year everyone in my class was arguing about it, more said it was, but there were some who said it wasn't. Really, dance IS a sport.
