I think so. We wanted equal rights, and with those equal rights come equal responsibilities. You can't expect to be given equal treatment, but exclude the bad things. I do, however, think only one parent in a family should be able to be drafted.
women need to stay in the kitchen
Wow... That was a really intelligent comment. I'm inspired! *Clapping with sarcasm*
Someone give this guy an award!
Remember where the knifes are....
I definitely have mixed feelings about this. Personally, I don't think we should have a draft at all. Military service should be a choice. But the draft already exists, so there's no use arguing that point. I believe that women should have the same rights and responsibilities as men, but SOMEONE needs to stay here and run the rest of the country, you can't force everyone into service. I suppose being female I'm biased because of course I don't want to be drafted but still.
Very interesting poll....I chose mixed feelings, cause I personally don't know.
I think both men and women should not be drafted, and both have a choice between fighting for the army or not.
I think men and women should be treated equally. However I don't agree with military at all so I chose mixed feelings.
Now DO NOT GET ME WRONG! I AM ACTUALLY QUITE FEMINIST... But if I were to have children and I got drafted... Omg.... I do not think women should be drafted UNLESS THEY CHOOSE SO. Somebody has to stay back and take care of those at home. There are some things men cannot do. They cannot take care of children and other things like that that women can. Now, I think if a woman wants to head off to war, hell yeah they can! But they should not be forced to as men do.
No. Women don't have the same capabilities as men. And I'm not just talking physically, but emotionally as well. Some women just simply can't handle the stress of the military.
Agreed. But it's obvious that men have more sheer brute strength than women.
It is. No matter how much women bodybuild, they'll never be able to match men's strength.
Yes. We should be treated the same both good and bad. And the kids could live with relatives or stay with friends.
I agree with Heart_And_Seoul, along with xXMarceilineXx. The genders should be equal, but someone does need to stay behind and take care of things. It's like World War I. Back home, the women HAD to take over the jobs and all. It kept things going. If they hadn't? If they too had gone to war and died...
It's either men are drafted, or women are drafted. Both? Heh, no...
