Christ has already been taken out of Christmas... He wasn't even born in December. Some early Christians adopted practices from the pagan holiday Saturnalia to get pagans to convert. Sad, huh?
Hey, why thumbs down it when it's the truth? I'm a very religious Christian, but I don't celebrate Christmas, because it's NOT Christ's actual birthday. Do your research.
I'm Christian myself, and yeah, we all know that wasn't actually Jesus's birthday, but we still celebrate it on that day. The fact that we do that kinda justifies why we leave 'Christ' in the name
We still need to celebrate his birth sometime in the year. Scholar don't truthfully have any hard evidence about his birthday. God knows what is in your heart and if you intend to celebrate it as His birthday and not some Pagan crap than I'm sure He's pleased with us.
No. Christmas is a christian holiday. It's celebrated by Christians and Catholics. We shouldn't take it out. It's like taking a word out of Hanukkah or something. Us Americans, we've commercialized it to much.
I completely agree with you, I'm just catholic and this pissed me off. You said "Christians and Catholics." you are aware that Catholicism is a branch of Christinanity, same as Baptism, and Lutheranism, and the other forms of Protesntantism, right?
It is a Christian holiday, shouldn't Christ stay?
WTF?!? NO!!!!! It's only a holiday because it's his birthday!
No, it's Christ's birthday. What if your name was take off of your birthday cake? Metaphorically. I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty upset. I mean, the origin of Christmas even began with Christ's birth.
Christmas is about Jesus, not about winter...
Its Jesus Christs birth...
Its been Christmas since for like ever so if people want to change that they can go get stuffed
.....That would sorta defeat the whole purpose of Christmas wouldn't it?
YEAH!!! IT'S A CHRISTIAN HOLIDAY SO IF YOU'RE NOT CHRISTIAN TOO BAD FOR YOU!!
