I can,just not very well.
I can't write in cursive, at least not very well. I've tried a few times but it looks awful. :P
we had this day at school where all the teachers dressed up each subject had a different year it was so funny they looked stupid and so funny we had to write in it alot that day (all lessons pre 1950) :)
It was a school requirement but I'm not really that good at it
I know how to but I refuse to. Cursive is stupid.
I can disagree you know. Stating an opinion is going to get another statement back. It wasn't personal.
However, a failure on your part to do something does not in turn make that something stupid. Reading isn't stupid, it's just those who are incapable of reading well and unwilling to practice that say it is. I've been writing in cursive since I was a child, and so has my Mother. Both of us write quicker and neater in cursive. Cursive has also been proven to help the writer write quicker for
longer in studies, because you don't have to lift the tip of your writing instrument constantly.
What's causing your hand and wrist to cramp is not because of your writing in cursive, but because you're pressing too hard. My brother has the same problem when he prints - he presses too hard, and writes with his fingers way down on the pencil, so his hand cramps really quickly. It sounds like you have the same problem.
Okay perhaps we both misunderstood each other. I didn't mean cursive was a stupid concept, I just meant that I found it unnecessary. I wasn't being serious when I wrote that comment and I didn't put much thought into my choice of words. It was intended to be a light hearted off hand remark. Sorry for the confusion. Have a nice day :)
I'm horrible at cursive, I don't know why. I try so hard to make it look nice, but in the end it looks like some little kid trying it out for the first time... :/
I learned a while ago... I wish my cursive looked nicer. I'd use it more often. But I suppose I need to practice in order for it to look nicer--a paradox. :P
If you look at what cursive is "supposed" to look like, that's mine. But everyone's else's is so much prettier -_-
Just practice!! :D
Yeah, but I don't think mine is very neat :\
Yes, I was required to in school for about 8 years...and I found that it helped a lot when I learned Russian in college and had to learn how to write their alphabet (in cursive).
Mm, I thought so too. I learned Russian for a while, and it definitely helped me as well, knowing previously.
